Shelton, Washington to New Zealand and return

" What an ocean the mighty Pacific is! I've already grown to respect its power, admire its vastness, enjoy its willingness to give frequent amusement-park-style rides, marvel at its ability to provide a home for so many interesting forms of life, and hopefully won't, but probably will, fear its mighty force."

After leaving Shelton, Washington aboard our 38' Cape George Cutter, we sailed down the west coast and spent five months along the coast of Mexico. The time was spent enjoying the interesting harbors and villages, but also preparing for our ocean crossing. We met a lot of interesting people and formed friendships that lasted far into our ocean voyage.
